Halloween in Toronto

I was a bit tired today as I still haven‘t had a decent night‘s sleep since I went to Provincetown, but I still dragged my butt out tonight to the Block Party in Toronto‘s gay village. I have posted pics of some of the interesting outfits I saw. If you want really good photos of the party and the extent to which crossdressing shows up on Halloween in Toronto, I suggest having a look at Rtruly’s Photostream. He or she is a much better photographer than I am.
As I was looking for a parking spot, I saw so many beautiful young cross dressers, all so nice and friendly, waving or smiling at me, or in one case snapping her whip for me! After Fantasia, I have to wonder: are we all that nice? And if so, maybe everyone should be forced to crossdress ;) .From the time I parked the car some ways from the “Village” and began my walk there until I arrived at the crowded party, I got a lot of looks, and some comments which I could not make out, nor could I discern their intent. Was I hot? Was my costume great? Was my dress too short? Or were they just reading me as a guy in a dress? I’d like to think that everyone was thinking the same thing as the first woman I met at the party who looked at me and said, “Ooh, you’re sexy!” When I answered her without disguising my male voice, she was taken aback for a second and then gently touched me on the face and came back with, “Ooh! You’re really sexy!” It was worth going out just for that!

At all these events, Jesus gets a rough ride and the cross has been turned into an erotic symbol for some. Tonight there was, notably, a mostly naked girl propped up on a large cross in the middle of the street. She’s goin’ straight to hell for that one :o ! Anyhoo, later on, she abandoned the cross and people in the street were taking turns getting their friends to take pics of them up there… Seemed like a good idea to me ;) so I climbed up and assumed the position. "Cross"-dressing WitchThe avalanche of flashes going off made me feel like a movie star on the red carpet at the academy awards. It doesn’t get much better than that! Yaaaaay! (By the way, if anyone sees any of those pictures online, I’d love too see them!)

When I climbed down, a guy came over to me and my girlfriend. – not a bad-lookin’ guy at that! He’d been watching us, he said. He was suitably impressed and seemed to be intimating that we could have a nice threesome together. As he talked, he reached one arm behind me and the other behind my girlfriend, placing a hand on each of our backs and started to push us together from behind as he closed in. Poor guy; he was doing fine at “Hello,” but it was straight downhill from there. My girlfriend was letting me run the show and I was willing to give him every chance to make me feel like doing something for him, but he only succeeded in making me want to leave. (I wonder how many girls felt that way about my male side in the past…) Still, at least I got hit on finally! I was kind of disappointed this did not happen in P’Town.

As we walked back to the car, my feet were killing me. I have seen sexy women walking around in these shoes looking so comfy and used them as an example to say to my girlfriend, “See, it doesn’t seem to be a problem for her. Why don’t you do it?” Well last night, I was that sexy woman, walking around showing nothing but grace and elegance, but once I got to the car, off they came; I couldn’t even drive home in them!

The next morning, I woke up and went down for breakfast. Over coffee, I was reading the paper when I came upon a picture of Sarah Palin, impeccably dressed, and as always, in high heels. I turned to my girlfriend and said, “How in the hell does she campaign in those?”

Did that question really come out of my mouth?
